Knottingley Amateur Swimming Club was formed in 1971 at the Knottingley Sports Centre, Hill Top, Knottingley, the club was formed by a group of Volunteers to teach children of the local area to swim and this still continues today, but with children from a much wider area, at present we have members from, West, North, South and East Yorkshire.
Children of all ages attend the Club over two nights and our main objective is to teach them to swim in a friendly and safe environmnent, taking them through the ASA Level badges and Personal Survival Badges and for those who want to continue into Royal Life Saving Society Badges.
We also have a thriving Competitive Section competing in two local leagues, Barnsley Minors and Pocklington Times Leagues
We are affiliated to the ASA, Yorkshire ASA, North Eastern Counties ASA, Royal Life Saving Society
